G.O.P.
The moderate Republican Senator from Pennsylvania has taken leave of his party of many decades to join the Democratic party earlier yesterday. Specter said that he felt the Party pushed him away because of its move to the hard right and lack of inclusiveness which would result in him losing in an upcoming Republican primary. In their quest to purify the Party they inevitably ostracize many of their members. The Republicans are not looking good following the leave of George W. Bush. They have crazies like Bachmann talking nonsense, are defending the use of torture when it is illegal, and calling for small gov't and leaving the Union due to gov't interference. At the same time Texas needs Federal aid for their floods, and they need gov't troops to patrol their border because of violence in Mexico.
